Eligible Costs May Include:
Removal of existing roofing materials
Installation of Class A fire-rated underlayment
Fire- and ember-resistant ventilation systems
Non-combustible flashings and accessories
Class A-rated shingles, metal panels, or tile coverings
Labor and installation fees
Who Qualifies
The FireSafe™ Roof Subsidy Program is currently available to:
Homeowners located in California and Nevada
Properties within or adjacent to wildfire-prone (WUI) zones
Projects using certified Class A materials and approved installers
Projects using certified Class A materials and approved installers
Projects using certified Class A materials and approved installers
Projects using certified Class A materials and approved installers
Owners replacing an existing roof with a FireSafe™ roofing system
Projects using certified Class A materials and approved installers

How the Program Works
Step 1 – Apply Online
Complete our quick [Subsidy Request Form] or include subsidy interest when submitting your quote request.
Step 2 – Get Verified
Our team reviews your application and confirms eligibility based on your property location, roof type and project details.
Step 3 – Contractor Estimate
You’ll receive a quote from a FireSafeRoofs.com Certified Roofer who uses approved Class A materials.
Step 4 – Subsidy Approval
FireSafeRoofs.com issues a subsidy certificate to the contractor, confirming the contribution amount (up to 20% of the roof cost).
Step 5 – Installation & Payment
Your new FireSafe™ roof is installed. Once completed and verified, FireSafeRoofs.com pays the approved subsidy directly to the contractor.
